{"id":1157,"date":"2018-01-03T09:14:54","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T09:14:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.constructionplantworld.com\/news\/?p=1157"},"modified":"2018-01-02T16:28:16","modified_gmt":"2018-01-02T16:28:16","slug":"lister-wilder-raises-a-mow-zing-total-for-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.constructionplantworld.com\/news\/2018\/01\/lister-wilder-raises-a-mow-zing-total-for-charity\/","title":{"rendered":"Lister Wilder raises A-&#8216;Mow&#8217;-Zing total for charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lister Wilder Ltd, a Kubota dealer, and its 60 strong \u2018Mow-team\u2019 has raised a staggering \u00a318,318 for the The Movember Foundation, making the company the 5<sup>th<\/sup> largest fundraiser in the UK to support the charity.<\/p>\n<p>Formed of company directors, workshop engineers, sales team members and parts advisers, Lister Wilder employees donned great, and some not so great, moustaches throughout the month of November to help raise the awareness of some of the biggest health issues faced by men.<\/p>\n<p>Phill Hughes, Groundcare Sales Director at Lister Wilder and the company\u2019s Movember Team Captain, said: \u201cWorking in an industry where the majority of our employee\u2019s and customers are male, the charity really hits close to home and a lot of our staff were really enthusiastic about raising much needed funds for such a great campaign. We felt that participating in Movember 2017 would help to raise awareness of the issue within the workplace and remove the stigma that can surround health issues within males.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to raising a fantastic amount of money for a great charity, the campaign has helped to enhance our team spirit here at Lister Wilder. With so many employees participating and others providing encouragement, this has been a great opportunity for the whole company to come together for a common cause and creates a bonding experience along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lister Wilder also offered its support to The Rich Brothers of BBC Garden Rescue, who travelled across six counties in two days to mow huge, precise moustaches into fields to raise funds for the \u2018MOWvember movement\u2019.
