Housing and infrastructure will be the key drivers of growth over the course of the next five years. In order to ensure that construction thrives, it\u2019s crucial that we encourage and support young people to consider the construction sector as a viable industry in which to forge a long term career. A wide variety of skill sets are required, through trades to project management and then senior executive positions, providing many opportunities to enter the industry.<\/p>\n
Continued focus on the benefits of delivering technology within the sector means that it holds greater attraction for millennials, and we all have a responsibility for promoting apprenticeships and training programmes to encourage this. With Brexit just over a year away and threatening to exacerbate skills shortages, we must focus our efforts on incentivising and attracting people to join the construction workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n
