Ridgeons, the East of England\u2019s largest independent timber and builders\u2019 merchants, raised almost \u00a33,700 for East Anglia\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospices (EACH) during Children\u2019s Hospice Week in the last week of May.<\/p>\n
Colleagues at 14 Ridgeons branches across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk organised their own fundraising activities including bake sales, raffles, a 30km \u2018treadmill challenge\u2019 and a BBQ.<\/p>\n
The top fundraising branch was Halesworth in Norfolk, where \u00a3910 was raised over five days. Second highest fundraiser was Ridgeons Saffron Walden in Essex, which raised \u00a3795 with activities including a head shave and a 30km treadmill challenge.<\/p>\n
All 26 local branches and Ridgeons support centres have set a goal of raising \u00a330,000 over a two-year period for EACH. The partnership began in early 2017, and the money will help EACH provide care for 360 children and young people with a life-threatening condition around the region, and support 440 family members.<\/p>\n
