Plant hire specialist Stevens Equipment Rental will exhibit at ScotPlant for the first time this April as it expands its Scottish footprint, highlighting large earthmoving machines, bespoke equipment solutions, and hydrogen technology designed to cut fuel use and emissions.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Stevens Equipment Rental <\/u>(SER) will make its first official appearance at ScotPlant this year, taking place 24-25th\u00a0April at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. The company will be exhibiting on Avenue D, Stand 14, as it continues to strengthen relationships with contractors working across Scotland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scotland a growing market for SER<\/h2>\n

Scotland is increasingly important for the plant hire specialist, which has recently opened two satellite depots and increased the number of service engineers based in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cScotland is a key area of growth for us,\u201d says Mark Need, SER\u2019s sales manager for Scotland and the north of England. \u201cThere are many major renewable energy projects as well as road infrastructure and housing developments linked to these schemes driving demand for heavy equipment. We\u2019re already supporting customers across the country, so ScotPlant is a good opportunity to meet with people face-to-face and talk about what they need on upcoming jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Machines suited to large earthmoving projects<\/h2>\n

On the stand, SER will display a Cat D6 dozer<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and a latest-generation Volvo A30 articulated hauler<\/a><\/u>. While these machines reflect much of the large earthmoving and infrastructure work currently underway in Scotland, they only represent part of the equipment SER supplies nationally. The fleet also includes large excavators, material handlers, wheeled loading shovels, and compaction equipment, supporting contractors across diverse sectors.<\/p>\n

Durable, bespoke solutions<\/h2>\n

SER is keen to highlight its ability to provide bespoke equipment for longer-term contracts. In such cases, SER will source specialist machinery and adapt it for specific applications in sectors such as ports, warehousing, and forestry.<\/p>\n

Through a display of wear parts, including track components and wear edges, SER will also demonstrate how it strengthens machines to ensure they remain available and productive on demanding jobs.<\/p>\n

Exploring hydrogen-assisted fuel technology<\/h2>\n

In addition, visitors to the SER stand will be able to learn about the company\u2019s offering of Ultimate Cell technology across its fleet. The retrofit system uses electrolysis to generate hydrogen on demand, which is then introduced into the engine\u2019s air intake in small amounts to optimise the combustion process.<\/p>\n

A representative from Ultimate Cell will be on hand to explain how the technology works and its benefits when applied to SER machines, which include lower fuel consumption, lower fuel costs, and lower emissions.<\/p>\n

Meeting the SER team<\/h2>\n

Visitors to ScotPlant will also have the opportunity to meet Aidan Harrison, SER\u2019s recently appointed operations director, as well as Andew Stevens, the company\u2019s owner and managing director.<\/p>\n
