Swecon is expanding its machine range for the mining industry with Terex Trucks<\/a>\u2019 rigid haulers, the TR70 and TR100.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe addition of Terex Trucks\u2019 rigid frame haulers fills a small but important gap in our product portfolio and strengthens our offering to the mining industry,\u201d says Ove Meander, Swecon’s sales manager in north Sweden.<\/p>\n

With the backing of the Terex Trucks\u2019 and Swecon\u2019s combined service networks, the rigid haulers are already well supported and attractive to the mining industry. The robust trucks are proving popular due to their simplistic design which makes them easy to drive, maintain and service. “In the longer term, there may be more sizes of trucks available when the engines are adapted to the new environmental requirements,\u201d says Meander. \u201cHowever, the machines we sell now, the TR70 and TR100, are built to maximise uptime and have a proven technology that produces results.\u201d<\/p>\n

Volvo Construction Equipment acquired Terex Trucks in 2014 with the aim of strengthening its position in the earthmoving segment and developing its presence in the light mining sector. This has proven to be attractive to Swecon\u2019s customers, as many are already familiar with Volvo CE\u2019s high standards of quality.<\/p>\n

Swecon delivered its first Terex Trucks rigid hauler, the TR100, to Rutqvists Schakt AB.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

During the summer, Swecon delivered the first Terex Trucks rigid hauler to Lars-G\u00f6ran Rutqvist \u2013 a TR100 with a load capacity of 55.5 cubic meters, a payload of 91 tonnes (100 tons) and an engine that delivers 783 kW (1,050 hp). Rutqvist commented: \u201cWe needed a rigid hauler to transport road materials in Boliden’s open pit copper mine in G\u00e4llivare. The mine has a large road network and is used day and night, all year round.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Rutqvist is a new customer of Terex Trucks, he is confident that the machine will be a good match for his company. “We have dealt with Swecon and Volvo CE for many years and we expect that we will receive the same high standards from the Terex Trucks team. My previous experience makes me feel safe in daring to try something new. And so far, I\u2019m pleased to say everything has worked well with the Terex Trucks hauler.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swecon is committed to delivering the best service and support possible for its new truck range. The company\u2019s team members have also already visited Terex Trucks\u2019 headquarters in Motherwell, Scotland, to be trained by its experts on all aspects of the machines, and this is something which will occur on a regular basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
