Marsh Plant Hire Ltd purchases two more LTM 1060-3.1s from Liebherr

Marsh Plant Hire Ltd is a mobile crane and contractor’s general plant hire company operating throughout the south of England and the Midlands with depots in Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. The company purchased two LTM 1060-3.1 mobile cranes from Liebherr-Great Britain in 2015 and was so happy with them that an order was placed for two additional LTM 1060-3.1s to be delivered early this year, both of which are now in service.

The 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 fits well with Marsh Plant Hire’s operations. It has a compact three-axle chassis and a number of other highly useful features including the 48 m boom length, which gives it excellent versatility when combined with the compactness of the model. The LTM 1060-3.1 has exceptional manoeuvrability achieved through its six-wheel steering. It has a five-section main boom to give a maximum operating height of 48 m and 63 m with double fly jib. In the UK, the LTM 1060-3.1 can travel with all 12.8 tonnes of counterweight and a double fly jib and remain within STGO regulations. Marsh Plant Hire has not opted to take the fly jib on its LTM 1060-3.1s.
