SPAL Automotive UK reports ‘bumper’ summer as cooling market hots up
SPAL Automotive UK has announced another bumper summer, with figures up by 20% on the same quarter last year. Part of the Italian global SPAL group, who are at the forefront of next generation thermal management technology for battery and hybrid engines, SPAL UK has seen major orders for its fans and blowers from established clients in the bus & coach industry, as well as new business from the agricultural and construction sectors.
“We have had our best July ever and August looks like another record breaker,” said UK Managing Director Matthew Morris. “It’s too early to attribute this summer spike to Brexit and in any case, this is part of a long-term upward trend for us. We are continuing to enjoy organic growth from existing customers in sectors where we are well-known both to OEMs and in the aftermarket, but we have also made significant inroads into key areas we have targeted for development – namely, agriculture and construction.”
Globally, the company is growing rapidly as automotive manufacturers look to SPAL for leading-edge brushless-driven solutions for cooling battery and hybrid engines. Earlier this year, SPAL Automotive UK secured a multi-million-pound contract to provide thermal management solutions to one of the world’s best-known marques, triggering investment in expanding brushless production capacity and opening a fully automated 30,000 bay vertical warehouse at the company’s state-of-the-art factory in Corregio, Italy.
SPAL’s market leading thermal management solutions, driven by fully sealed brushless motors, are designed to operate intelligently at optimum efficiency, delivering proven fuel savings, longer life and reduced emissions.
