Paris Construction Week
In April 2021, Paris Construction Week will welcome the entire value chain closely linking up market players from construction, buildings and infrastructure, urban development and sustainable planning.
For the first time ever, this global construction week will bring together four complementary trade events: INTERMAT and World of Concrete Europe, BIM World and Solutions Bas Carbone, in this co-creation instigated by the organisers of these shows.
This week aims to be a federating occasion to reinforce the innovation and project dynamics of construction players and territories, mobilised to jointly address the new environmental, public health, social and economic challenges facing our societies.
Holding the shows at the same time illustrates the complementarity between activity sectors in construction, all in the frontline with regard to the major environmental, technological and digital transformations in progress, and the pertinence of their common denominator in terms of foresight and innovation. It also ties in with the “Recovery Plan”, an ambitious European funding programme to boost the revival in public and private investment.
The combination of the cutting edge expertise of these four events will for the first time offer an exhaustive and prospective overview of the construction market’s supply and demand: from finance to engineering, from materials to components, machinery and equipment, from logistics to construction, renovation and maintenance, through to design and deconstruction use cases and processes.
Encompassing subject areas as wide and varied as new territorial business models, training and skill development, the latest trends in construction equipment, infrastructure, urban planning and mobility, all in terms of digital tech, robotics and connectivity, traceability and predictive maintenance, environment, recycling and circular economy… the first global construction week will be at the forefront of tomorrow’s world.
From 19 to 24 April 2021 at Paris Nord Villepinte
INTERMAT Paris, the international exhibition for construction and infrastructure and the benchmark event for the sectors of construction equipment, machinery, technology and materials, is preparing its 2021 edition in a forward-looking perspective to reveal the latest technological developments in the sector, accelerate innovation and combine all the components which will foster the efficiency and success of the projects of the future.
Its offering is finely targeted around 5 hubs of expertise: Earthmoving, Demolition & Transportation / Roads, Materials & Foundations / Buildings & Concrete Sector / Lifting & Handling, with a new hub dedicated to New Technologies. The six days of the show will also feature special theme days, talks, workshops and round tables, visits by foreign delegations and equipment displays held in its unique demonstration zone.
World Of Concrete Europe, the international trade show for the concrete sector, incorporated within the Buildings & Concrete Sector hub, will offer an overview of the industry’s European market with the combination of an exhibition area, an educational forum with talks about themes relating to the future of the material, and a demo zone to offer visitors the opportunity to discover the innovative offering of this sector, throughout its supply chain.
21 and 22 April 2021 at Paris – Porte de Versailles
BIM World, the event for construction, real estate and infrastructure into a digital era, will seek to illustrate the extensive variety of uses and benefits of digital technology to design, build and operate structures. The exhibition and congress cover a broad spectrum of projects and innovations at the heart of the digital and environmental transitions which will radically transform the property, infrastructure and city planning markets.
To highlight the solutions, innovations, projects and players at work in the various markets, the 2021 show revolves around three sectors: Construction 4.0 to build higher-performance structures with digital technology / Building as a Service to harness the value of buildings and develop new uses / Smart data for digital infrastructure and service platforms for building professions, businesses and public authorities.
Solutions Bas Carbone, the event dedicated to a low-carbon economy working for the benefit of sustainable housing and cities, aims to showcase the solutions already available and exemplary approaches by stimulating innovation and the emergence of new projects. The ambition is to federate all public and private players committed to the major challenges of the environment transition through three sectors displaying solutions and achievements:
Materials and environmental performance to optimise the carbon impact of structures throughout the lifecycle / Energy and operating performance to guarantee this performance whilst reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions / Smart Territories and user performance to develop the most efficient uses for housing, collective buildings, communities, infrastructure and facilities.
