Ritchie Bros.and Plantforce renew partnership for Fleet Renewal Auction in January 2026
Following a successful collaboration in 2024, Ritchie Bros. UK is proud to announce it has been selected once again by Plantforce, one of the UK’s leading plant hire specialists, to manage their 2026 fleet renewal programme. The dedicated auction will take place on Wednesday, 21st January, featuring over 250 high-quality, late-model machines.
The auction, to be held at the Ritchie Bros. UK headquarters in Maltby, represents a significant volume of premium heavy equipment entering the secondary market. The inventory includes a diverse range of excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and rollers, the majority of which are less than three years old, offering buyers a rare opportunity to acquire modern, job-ready assets with low hours.
This renewal of the partnership underscores Plantforce’s strategic commitment to maintaining a state-of-the-art fleet while leveraging Ritchie Bros.’ global marketplace to maximise residual values.
Samuel Mercer, CEO at Plantforce, commented:
“We are delighted to partner with Ritchie Bros. again for our 2026 fleet renewal. The success of our previous collaboration proved that their global reach and dual-brand marketing approach deliver the results we need to support our long-term investment strategy.”
“For us, this partnership is built on trust, agility, and brand reputation. We need a partner who understands that we aren’t just selling machines; we are managing the lifecycle of our assets to ensure our customers always have the most modern and efficient equipment available. By releasing these 250 machines now, we are maintaining the high standards of our fleet while offering the market exceptional quality equipment with plenty of productive life remaining.”
The sale is expected to attract significant interest from both UK and international buyers, driven by the global demand for sustainably maintained, low-hour machinery.
Rupert Craven, Sales Director UK & Ireland at Ritchie Bros., added:
“It is a privilege to be chosen once again by Plantforce to manage such a significant element of their fleet strategy. Securing this partnership for another year is a huge vote of confidence in our team and our ability to deliver strong market returns”.
“Plantforce has a well-earned reputation for maintaining its equipment to the highest standards, and we know from experience that its assets are highly sought after by our global buyer base. With over 250 items going under the hammer on 21st January, this auction will be the premier opportunity for buyers to kickstart the year with top-tier inventory.“
