Finning to give Hillhead visitors a tour of the tools and technology driving operational improvements

Visitors will be taken on a journey to uncover the solutions to their operational challenges by Finning UK & Ireland at leading quarrying and construction equipment show Hillhead 2026.
Zones where visitors can pinpoint the issues they face on site and discuss how to solve them will be hosted by Finning as it looks to support more businesses in transforming their processes through increased efficiency and extended support.
Its expert team will be available at the show to offer an insight into the critical factors shaping the future of the quarrying and construction industries, and the advanced applications on offer to help them work smarter.
Finning is helping customers to innovate and streamline operations through cutting edge digital solutions and integrated support packages that include the deployment of digital and technology features, data-analysis and on-site training.
Mick Knight, Head of Corporate and Strategic Accounts at Finning UK & Ireland, said: “Connecting our customers to the tools that enable their businesses to thrive is very important to us, whether that is using technology to unlock the data they need to improve safety, sustainability and productivity, or opening up new, cost-effective ways to invest in machinery through rebuilt solutions.
“Hillhead is a fantastic event and the perfect opportunity for our team to engage with visitors, holding conversations with the aim of making a direct, positive impact on operations by finding a solution to some of the biggest challenges companies face, from decarbonisation to skills development.
“We can apply our strategic knowledge and expertise to issues they are experiencing across their site operations to pinpoint the actions that will lead to achieving long-term goals and ultimately a competitive advantage.”
Taking place at Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton in Derbyshire, Hillhead was established 44 years ago and attracts more than 20,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors across three days. It features live demonstrations, interviews and displays in a working quarry setting, attracting the biggest names in quarrying, construction and recycling.
Mick added: “The Finning Caterpillar experience will be a fun, interactive way to consider how to develop and improve performance across the whole business, not just across the machine fleet.
“By combining technology, data, expertise and long-term lifecycle thinking, we can help customers to improve safety, upskill teams and streamline operations for maximum efficiency.
“The tools, products and services we offer are directly relevant to the needs of our customers, helping them to make smarter insightful decisions on and off the jobsite. We are looking forward to exploring how we can work together on developing the future of businesses in these industries.”
Having attended Hillhead regularly since its launch in 1982, Finning have found a new home on Stand V1 at this year’s show which takes place from June 23rd to 25th, 2026.
